Opelousas - Memorial services for Mrs. Heather Maura Johnson Barron will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA. Interment will follow in the Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum.
Heather was a native and long-time resident of Opelousas. She died on Monday, April 11, 2016, at Opelousas General Health System at the age of 57. She was a bookkeeper for Roy O. Martin Lumber Company for over 20 years. She was a loving wife and a caring mother, sister, and grandmother. She enjoyed collecting snowmen, clowns, and fairies. She would read poetry, do word search puzzles, and listen to music as a pastime.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Keith Barron of Opelousas; son, Jeremy Scott Barron of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Brianna Kaye Barron of Houston, Texas; brother, William Hale Johnson and wife, Penny of Lafayette; sister, Holly Ann Johnson and husband, Donald Davis of Opelousas; and three grandchildren, Chloe Wynne Crawford, Tyler Ian Elzy, and Reine Elizabeth Barron.
Preceded in death by her parents, William Otis Johnson and Beverly Joyce Abdalla Johnson; and her grandparents, Jacob Abdalla and Mary Tujague Abdalla.
