Jack Robert Carinder, 88, died April 10, 2016 in Oklahoma City. He was born February 6, 1928 in El Dorado, Kansas to George Granville Carinder and Ruby Ellen (Jones) Carinder. A proud WWII veteran of the U.S. Army, he held a doctorate in administration and was a school superintendent. Jack was preceded in death by his son, Robert Dean Carinder, brother, Wayne, and his parents. Survivors include his beloved wife of 66 years, 10 months, Bonny Dean (Goodwin) Carinder; daughters, Jacky Preston and husband Terry, Jan Beaty and husband Monty, and Joy Carinder; 4 grandchildren, Tara Burton and husband Mike, Kyle Preston and wife Katy, Kelsey Lemmert and husband Clay, and Tyler Beaty and fiancé Lindsay; and 10 great-grandchildren, Trevor, Reagan, Lily, Emily, Bea, Sophie, Olivia, Ellie, Ava, and Ethan; sisters, Sue Dennett and Wilma Talbert. Graveside services will be Saturday, April 16, 11:00am in Sterling Community Cemetery, Sterling, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or 1-800-DIABETES (800-342-2383).
