Obituary for Pte. Leo Patrick Villeneuve

Private Leo Patrick Villeneuve passed away at Kenora General Hospital, Saturday, September 19th in his 27th year.
The late Pte. Villeneuve was born in Kenora September 13, 1916 and was employed at the Paper Mill prior to his enlistment with the army some three months ago.
He was stationed at Portage le Prairie and was spending a week-end leave here when he was taken ill and rushed to the hospital. He failed to rally and passed away last Saturday afternoon.
Pte. Villeneuve was a member of the International Brotherhood of Papermakers Union, No. 238.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his widow, three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Ledue, Mrs. Harold Reeves, Miss Jean Villeneuve, and a brother Joffre, all of Kenora.
The funeral took place this afternoon from the Brown Funeral Home Chapel , Tuesday, December 22nd at 2 o’clock. Internment took place at Lake of the Woods Cemetery.
Dr. R. L. McTavish of Knox United Church conducted the service. At the cemetery the I.O.O.F., of which he was a member , conducted their impressive funeral service.
