Brother Louis Bruggeman, 66, Atchison, died Sunday at a hospital here. He was born in Piqua, Kan., and had lived in Atchison since 1941. Brother Louis had been a monk at St. Benedict's Abbey in Atchison and was a truck driver and farmer there. Earlier he was a maintenance worker at Benedictine College and at the Maur Hill Preparatory School in Atchison.
He leaves two brothers, Leo Bruggeman and Raymond Bruggeman, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Mildred Haen, all of Piqua. Burial in the abbey cemetery.
