Mr. McMahan was a retired iron worker. He served in the Army in World War II. He was a life member of the VFW Post 5077.
A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Paul Funeral Home, 240 North Kingshighway, St. Charles. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Charles Memorial Gardens, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles.
Among survivors are two daughters, Wanda Whitaker of Warrenton and Sharon Remstedt of St. Charles; a brother, Preston "Pete" McMahan of Columbia, Mo.; four sisters, Alta Mae Rigdon, Dorothy Porter and Bonnie Zumsteg, all of St. Charles, and Floy Virginia Schlueter of Fayette, Mo.; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and a friend, Lenora Porter of O'Fallon.
