Paul Marcotte, 76
FOXBORO — Paul Edward Marcotte, 76, of Foxboro, died Monday, April 11, at the Brigham and Woman's Medical Center in Boston.
Born on Dec. 19, 1928, in Norwich, Conn., he was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Newman) Marcotte. He was a Korean War veteran and a graduate of Providence College and Boston College.
Mr. Marcotte had married his wife, Antoinette T. (Buczynski) Marcotte, on Nov. 15, 1958, at the Immaculate Conception Church in North Cambridge.
He worked for over 30 years as an insurance underwriter for John Hancock, where he retired on June 29, 1987.
Mr. Marcotte was an avid sports fan, and particularly loved PC Friars basketball and the BC Eagles football teams. He enjoyed golf, but most of all, enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was the loving father of Joan M. and her husband, Richard Austin, Edward P. and his wife, Carolyn, and Ann Marie Marcotte, all of Foxboro, and Susan J. and her husband, Ian Burford, of North Attleboro. Devoted grandfather of Paul, Christopher, Nicholas and Andrea.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, April 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxboro. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 14, at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Carpenter St., Foxboro. Burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Foxboro.
