Carol Janice Parks, age 79 of Royse City, TX, passed away March 11, 2016. She was born August 10, 1936, in Dallas to Austin and Sarah (Darr) Terry. Carol was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was devoted to her home and family.

Carol is survived by her husband: Larry Parks of Royse City, TX; children: Lona and Abess Williams of Royse City, TX, Dian and Tommy Byrne of Royse City, TX, Karen Hall of Rowlett, TX, Patricia Tibbits of Mesquite, TX, Randy Keck of Dallas, TX, Suzanne and Lige Nelson of Garland, TX, and Larry III and Elsa Parks of Ennis, TX; sister: Debbie Pelt and husband Mark of Rockwall, TX; grandchildren: Amy, PR, Stefanie, Jeff, Kenna, Damon, Nikki, Christian, Monica, Amanda, Alex, Zach, Kristy, Chandra, Sheldon, Lige, Katlin, Matthew, Lawrence and Libby; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Judith Lynn Keck, and sisters Mary Agnes Moffot and Frances Gwen Stutts.

Graveside services will be held 11:00am Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Rockwall Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Duane Crain officiating. The family will receive friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
