Betty Jo Carlisle, 83, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016.
She was a long time member of Dividing Ridge Church of God and also attended Daisy Church of God. She loved cooking, crafts, and using her “green thumb” in the yard.
She was preceded in death by her late husband of 61 years, Charles E. Carlisle; daughter, Carolyn Carlisle; son, Mickey Carlisle; four sisters; and parents, Sim and Georgia Tankersley.
Survivors include her son, Charles R. Carlisle (Wanda); grandchildren, Amy Hardyman (Mark); Carrie Thomas (Stanley); Donna Griffith (Rick); Daniel Huggins (Elizabeth); brother; Bob Carlisle; sisters, Freida Nance and Margaret Tanner (Roy); 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the former and current staff at Life Care Center of Red Bank for their loving care for Betty Jo over the last five years.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 11, 2016, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Wilburn Hardyman officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Sunday, April 10, 2016 and Monday, April 11, 2016 for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
