On April 6, 2016, at the age of 102, Dora Helen (Gibson) Page went home to be with the Lord she had loved and served since her teen years. Helen was born October 12, 1913, to Julia Elizabeth (Anderson) and Oliver Arthur Gibson in Kansas City, KS, their fourth child, two of which died in infancy. Before age five, Helen had lost both of her parents. Their paternal grandparents in Winchester, KS, lovingly raised Helen and her older brother Bill until the death of her grandmother. At age 11, Helen moved back to Kansas City, KS, to live with her uncle Charles Gibson and his wife Minnie.

After graduation from Wyandotte High School, Helen took her first job as secretary-bookkeeper and also met her husband-to-be, Robert M. Page. In 1934, they both enrolled in Moody Bible Institute of Chicago in the Christian Education course. Shortly after graduation, Helen and Bob were married August 18, 1937. The newlyweds moved from Kansas to Bemidji, MN, to serve as rural missionaries with the Oak Hills Fellowship. They raised four children while serving as pastoral couple in several different churches. Helen was much appreciated for her gracious spirit and good cooking, but also as a talented pianist and a teacher of women's Bible studies and Sunday school classes. She worked part-time for many years at the OHF headquarters as secretary and bookkeeper.

After 52 years in Bemidji, the Pages moved to Go Ye Retirement Village of Tahlequah OK, where Helen accompanied various groups on the piano and did volunteer work in the library and elsewhere, as long as she was able. Bob and Helen attended the Evangelical Free Church for many years, then the Go Ye Village Chapel. In August of 2011, the couple celebrated the milestone of 74 happy years of marriage. Next January, Bob left Helen's side to go to heaven. Helen spent her last five years bed-ridden in the Med Center at Go Ye Village, but kept her wry sense of humor and her love for Jesus to the very end.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister Mary, her brother William and an infant brother, as well as her daughter-in-law Pat Page. She is survived by her children, James of Leavenworth, KS, Sarah of Tahlequah, OK, John (Barb) of Longmont, CO, and Ruth (Tom) Eastling of Bemidji, MN; six grandchildren—Angie (Dan) Trowbridge, Glen (Chris) Page, Pam Page, Todd (Crystal) Page, Brian (Becky) Eastling and Rebecca Eastling; eleven great grandchildren; her nephew Art (Pat) Gibson, Jr. Her loving presence will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
