Funeral services for Tennie Gambrell, 84, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Muril Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Stonewall.

Mrs. Gambrell died Saturday, April 16, 1983, in a local hospital.

She was born Nov. 24, 1898, in Cookeville, Tennessee, to Henry and Kitty Henley LaFaver. She came to this area in 1920.

She was a homemaker.

She and Tony Gambrell were married Dec. 20, 1914 in Smithville, Tennessee, and he preceded her in death March 2, 1981, in Stonewall.

She was affiliated with the Stonewall Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include five daughters, Ethel Elliott, Ada, Lenola Marsh, Lula, Marie Fine, Cookeville, Tn., Carrie Griffin, Fittstown and Geneva Marsh, Kennewick, Washington; three sons, Hubert Gambrell, of the home, Charles Gambrell, Stonewall and Thurman Gambrell, Klamath Falls, Oregon; 22 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will be bearers.

Criswell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
