Lora Elizabeth Boots

LOUISIANA ­ Lora Elizabeth Boots, 75, of Louisiana, died Jan. 13, 2000, at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana.

Funeral services for Mrs. Boots will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. Brother Randy William Boots will officiate. Burial will be at the Bethany Cemetery near Louisiana.

Mrs. Boots was born Aug. 29, 1924, in Louisiana to George and Dola Dickson Motley.

She was married to Walter Boots on March 21, 1941. He preceded her in death Oct. 31, 1983.

Survivors include one son, Walter G. Boots of Louisiana; one daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Garcia of Texas City, Texas; nine grandchildren, Walter A. Boots, Cheri Boots Sutton, Melissa Stoops, Elizabeth Summers, Randy Boots, Richard Boots, Gilbert Harrison, Belinda Millinder and Chris Harrison; 18 great-grandchildren; and six brothers, Elmer Motley, Raymond Motley, Ray Motley, Roy Motley, Paul Motley and Howard Motley.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Fred Bolton, Ernest Motley, Willie Motley, Clarence Motley and George Motley; and one sister, Mary Preston.

Mrs. Boots was a member of the Christian Church of Rockport, Ill.

Pallbearers will be Dean Sutton, Gilbert Harrison, Randy Boots, Richard Boots, Howard Motley and Jeremiah Sutton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mack Preston, George Preston, Roger Preston, Paul Wayne Motley and Chris Harrison.
