Born Jul 31, 1943, at Durant, to Doris Payne and Jewell Favois Payne. He lived most of his life in the Picher area. He served as a member of the National Guard. He was a welder and laborer. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his mother, Jewell Payne, Picher; two brothers, David Payne, Miami, and Jerry Payne, Muskogee Oklahoma and six sisters, Wanda Barr, Baxter springs Kansas, Darlene DeSilva and Patricia Rutherford, both of Miami, Lilly Dardene, Picher and Debbie Payne and Mickey Payne, both of Chetopa Kansas. Paul Thomas funeral home, Picher. Rev. Jim McMeachan officiating. his nephews will be pallbearers. Burial in G.A.R. cemetery, Miami.
