Mrs. Crawford was the widow of George W. Crawford. She was the daughter of the late Addie M. and Thomas Harris, and was preceded in death by a son, William R. Crawford. A native of Greenville, N.C., she was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. She was a retired seamstress from Rice's Department Stores in Norfolk.
Survivors include son, Cecil W. Crawford and his wife, Helen, of Norfolk; daughter, Elizabeth C. Forbes and her husband, Robert, of Greenville, N.C.; son, Louis R. Crawford and his wife, Billie, of Richmond; daughter, Louise C. Vick of Coinjock, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Katie Crawford of Colonial Heights, Va.; 11 grandchildren, George R. Forbes, Cecelia C. Taylor, Judy F. Paramore, Ray Crawford, C. Douglas Bowden Jr., Brenda Hutton, Michael Crawford, Dennis Crawford, Kathy Crawford, Bonnie Simonds and William E. Vick III; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel. A chapel service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home by the Rev. Dr. Martin P. Ramey. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
