Ulysses Simpson Parris was born October 6, 1901. He married Jessie Lee Dempsey, and they had four children: Myrtle Lee, William Esby, Robert Alvin, and Brenda Sue. They lived on a farm in Cleburne County, where U.S. and Jessie Lee worked together in the corn fields, the cow pasture, and the two large chicken houses. He also worked along side of her in the kitchen, helping with the cooking and the cleaning.

The precious memories and family traditions need to be recorded, and hopefully I, the youngest daughter, will do so here in what time I have before I go on up there to be reunited with my sweet Daddy and Mama.

(Note from the original site creator: Some of the census I have come across have the last name as Parrish or Parish.)
