Terry Ray Rice, age 56 of Victoria, Illinois passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and children on Monday, March 21, 2016 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, in Galesburg, Illinois

He was born on December 9, 1959 in Galesburg, Illinois the son of Larry L. and Judith K. VanDyke Rice. He graduated from Williamsfield High School in 1978. He married Kelly L. Gibbs on September 14, 1985 at the Williamsfield United Methodist Church in Williamsfield, Illinois.

Surviving is his wife, Kelly Rice of Victoria, Illinois; one daughter, Taylor (Cody) Jenkins of Victoria, Illinois; two sons: Adam (Holly Voss) Rice of Victoria, Illinois, and Colby (Kristina) Rice of Victoria, Illinois; two grandsons: Case Rice and Rayner Jenkins, with two grandchildren on the way. Also surviving are two step brothers, Kyle (JoAnn) Benson of Manteo, North Carolina and Eric (Cindy) Benson of Galesburg, Illinois; His mother and stepfather, Gary (Judith) Benson of Elkader, Iowa; father-in-law, Gary (Carole) Gibbs of Lafayette, Illinois; one aunt, Pam (Brian Elliott) Courson of Williamsfield, Illinois; and two uncles: Ronnie (Judy) Rice of Victoria, Illinois and Tom (Mary) Rice of Williamsfield, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Marty Rice and one sister Susan Corzatt, and his mother-in-law, Darlene Gibbs.

The family gathered on Saturday, March 19th at OSF St. Mary's Medical Center, where Terry was able to give his daughter, Taylor's hand in marriage to Cody Jenkins.

He worked as a Farmhand for Copley Ag, Inc. for 15 years and then was a truck driver for Borkgren Farms in Woodhull, Illinois until he was unable to work. He was a 29 year member of Little John Conservation Club. He enjoyed fishing, mushrooming, hunting, and arrowhead hunting. He was an avid harley motorcyclist. Most of all he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the Oaks Community Church in rural Dahinda, Illinois. Rev. Marty Briney officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Interment will be in the Victoria Cemetery, Victoria, Illinois.
