Kent Rose, 48, of Knoxville, Illinois died 11:12 P.M. on Monday, March 28, 2016 at OSF St. Mary's Medical Center, Galesburg, Illinois.
Kent was born on July 1, 1967 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Ronald L. and Patricia Davis Rose. He was raised and educated in Knoxville and graduated from Knoxville High School.
Kent is survived by, two daughters, Samantha Rose and Sumer Rose both of Knoxville, Illinois; his mother, Patricia Rose of Knoxville, Illinois; two brothers, Michael (Nina) Rose of Oquawka, Illinois and Patrick Rose of Dallas, Texas; nieces and nephews, Jessica Rose of Houston, Texas, Eric Rose of Dahinda, Illinois, Jennifer Rose of Knoxville, Illinois, Aubrey Rose of Mendota, Illinois, Molly Rose of Galesburg, Illinois, and Ashley (Tim) Schrad of Omaha, Nebraska; and two great-nieces; Rebekah and Kyleigh Rose of Des Moines, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald L. Rose.
Kent worked as a roofing contractor all of his life. He was the owner of Ron Rose Roofing.
Kent was a dedicated fan of both the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home, Knoxville, Illinois. Funeral service will be on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home, Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. Milton Marquith will officiate. Burial will follow at the Knoxville Cemetery.
