Roy Casey entered this world on August 17, 1943 in Merced, CA and left this world on April 4, 2016 in Turlock, CA at the age of 72. Born a twin to parents James C. Casey, Sr. and Essie M. Casey, Roy lived a simple yet productive life despite his physical challenges.
Roy worked in maintenance for the city buses of Las Vegas. He loved soda, cigarettes & cigars – he'd watch the clock in anticipation of the first cigar of the day. He had a deep love for his family, and would always run to them with hugs and kisses. His sweet smile will always be remembered.
Roy is survived by his brothers Al Casey and Paul Casey (Paulete), both of Modesto; his sisters Martha McNamara (Kenneth) of Modesto, CA, and Betty Thomas, of Carmichael, CA; 24 nieces and nephews; and 32 great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Della Casey in 2001; his parents James Clinton Casey, Sr. and Essie Mae (Luellen) Casey of Modesto, CA; his brothers Jessie Floyd Casey of Culver City, CA, Amos Glen Casey of Wichita, KS, William Marian Casey of Long Beach, CA, J.B. Casey of Turlock, CA, James Clinton Casey, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, Lummie "Red" Casey of Turlock, CA, and his twin Coy Casey of Modesto, CA; also his sister Katherine Kay (Casey) Stiles of Ripon, CA.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 2:00-4:00pm at Allen Mortuary. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Ceres Memorial Park.
