They had 3 children , Peter Stephens 1744-1782 , Lewis Stephens 1746-1822 and Mary Stephens Emmetts 1750-1832.
2. Maria Christina Stephens born on March 14, 1716 in Germantown, Pennsylvania and died on Aug 27, 1777 in Abbeville County, South Carolina. She married John Linville on May 3, 1736 in Opequon Creek, VA.
John was the son of John Linville and Ann Ducket Hendricks. He was born in 1712 in Opequon, VA and died in 1751 in Linville, North Carolina.They are bury at the Linville family Cemetery . They had 4 children , Alice , Lewis , Peter 1750-1834 and Elisha .

Hans was born on December 5, 1685 in Bonfeld, Germany and died on May 17, 1761 in Kernstown, VA. He the son of Johannes Hite and Anna Maria Magdlena . Lena was his second wife . No children.

Elizabeth was born in 1722 in Pennsylvania, PA and died in 1749 in Stephens City, VA. They had 4 children. Mary Stephens Earnest 1742-1838, Sarah Stephens Bowman, Peter Elisha Stephens 1746-1807 and John Stephens 1748-1819.
Lawrence married Emma Marie Bowman in 1752 in Clark, VA . Emma was born on November 1735 in Cedar Creek , VA and died in January 1820 in Stephens City, VA. She was the daughter of George and Mary Hite Bowman. They had 5 children. Anna was born on September 29, 1735 in Opequon , VA and died in January of 1820 in Holston River , VA. She the daughter of Jacob Chrisman and Magdelena Hite .

Elizabeth was born in 1736 in Hampton, VA and died in 1775 in Frederick , VA.

Abraham was born on October 15, 1735 in Perkiomen, PA and die on October 29, in Montgomery, VA. They had 8 children.

Father: Nicholas (Claus) Rittenhouse (Rittinghuysen), b: 15 June 1666 in Mulheim-an-der-Ruhr, Westphalia, Germany;
Mother: Wilhelmina Pietre Dewees, b: 13 Mar 1673 in Lieuwarden, Friesland, Netherlands.

Married: Jan Casper Jansen AKA Casper Johannes Jansen, b: abt 1694;
Married: ABT 1733.

Note: Most of the early German people were known by more than one name. They often Americanized their names.

"Maria Christina Rittenhouse, married once, and that was to Casper Jansen."

The Rittenhouse Family records I have came from several sources, including 1) the host at Rittenhouse Town, the Rittenhouse Family Association, a booklet I put together for Rittenhouse Town, etc.

The current Rittenhouse Family Records, from the former Rittenhouse Family Association, are currently in the hands of Paul Rittenhouse, I believe. Perhaps he can clarify this situation.
