Roberta Jean “Burtie” Hudson was born on October 25, 1932 to Leander and Mattie Davis in Maysville, Kentucky. At age 83 on April 2, 2016, she went home to be with the Lord at her home with her family at her side.
She was a graduate of John G. Fee High School in Maysville, Kentucky, employed by Xerox for 17 years and a past member of Southfield Baptist Church and New Journey Christian Ministries.
Burtie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Hudson; siblings, George Thomas Davis, John Lee Davis, Fredericka (Robert) Alexander, William (Mary) Davis, nephew Timothy Davis.
Roberta is survived by beloved son, Rodney (Brenda) Hudson of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Quintin, Tiffany, Brandon, great grandchildren, Torihan, Serenity, Khyndre all of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Frances (Ralph) Commodore of Maysville, Kentucky; brother, Charles (Peggy) Davis of Maysville, Kentucky; special niece, Cassandra (Fredrick) Davis Russell; special nephew, Sheridan (Jessica) Davis; special godson, Kamall Jackson; special daughter, Danielle Moses; special family, Larry, Susan, Alana Moses, and a host of nieces, nephews.
