Funeral services for Margie L.”Mimi” Baroni Barrett, 91, of Natchez, who died Thursday April 7, 2016 at Heritage Manor Health and Rehab, will be 11 a.m. Monday April 11, 2016 at St. Mary Basilica with Rev. David O’Connor officiating. Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Monday until service at St. Mary Basilica.
Mrs. Barrett was born in Natchez, the daughter of Mario Baroni and Marie Viccinelli Baroni. She was a member of St. Mary Basilica. Mrs. Barrett was a retired chief deputy tax assessor of Adams County.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward H. Barrett Sr., one sister, Mary Rose Bonham, one brother-in-law, Edward Bonham, one sister-in-law, Mary Baroni, and one niece, Mary Ann Vines.
Survivors include two sons, Edward H, Barrett, Jr. and wife, Lorre of Oxford, MS, and Michael Wayne Barrett and wife, Debi of Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren, Allison Manning, Ellen Simons, Susan Margaret Johnson, Leighton Strong, Kathryn Meloan Barrett, Molly Barrett, Reagan White, Kim Smith, Trisha Spence, Michelle Johnson, Lesley Barrett, Jessica Barrett, Stacy Ward, and Dusty Johnson; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren; one brother, Mario Baroni of Natchez; a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her great-grandsons.
