Walter H. Dunlap Sr., 78, of Wahneta, Florida went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2016. He was born in Rossville, Georgia on May 8, 1937 and moved to this area 41 years ago. He was a railroad electrician for Southern Railroad. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the Church of God. Mr. Dunlap enjoyed fishing, golf, bowling, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and his dog, Bo.
Mr. Dunlap is survived by his wife, Nell, of Wahneta, his children; Walter H. Dunlap Jr. of Sweetwater, Tennessee, Rhonda Smallen of Loudon, Tennessee, John Dunlap of Lakeland, Florida, Ken Clemmons of Eagle Lake, Florida, and Keith Clemmons of Eagle Lake, Florida, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a brother, David Dunlap, and a sister, Nadine Dunlap both of Rossville, Georgia.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31st, 2016, from 9 to 10 am with a funeral service following at 10 am. Both will be held at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Auburndale, Florida. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society .
