David R. Heckman, 50, of Reading, Kenhorst Twp., formerly of Birdsboro, husband of Justine L. (Baker) Heckman, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of Richard and Betty (Rhoads) Heckman.

David worked as a welder for Luigi Liberato Welding and Fabrication in Spring City.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with his children. David loved to ride his Harley and Triumph.

He was a member of Pikeville Sportsman Club and the Reading Motorcycle Club.

Surviving, with his wife, is son, Justan D. Heckman; daughters: April K., Hunter Rose, Taylor L. and Harlee A. Heckman; brother, Derek Heckman, companion of Ivy Bernstiel; niece, Sherry; and nephew, Brody Heckman; and maternal grandmother, Laura D. Heckman.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, April 12, 11:00 a.m. at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown. Burial will follow in Lobachsville Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:30a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
