No longer suffering and finally at peace, to which he embraced, Eric Winston Lewis passed on Monday, March 28, 2016 at the age of 52. Eric was born in Beaumont TX, the middle son to Mildred and Albert Lewis. He attended French High School with fond memories of growing up with brothers Byron & Rod
In 1989 he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served from 1989 to 1993 and was a Gulf
War veteran on 2 tours 1990–1991 in Operation Desert Storm.
Worked at Pepsi for over 20 years, starting as Merchandiser and last position as Reset Specialist.
He was a most dedicated employee and known to his co-workers as Big E.
He was a devoted uncle and often dotted on all of his brothers' kids.
His youngest brother, Rod, became his primary caretaker during his last 3 months of life. To this, the family is eternally grateful that brotherly love eased Eric's transition.
He leaves to celebrate his life, grandmother Savannah McMahon, parents Mildred and Albert,
brothers Byron (Dee), Rod (Gia), nieces Ra'kesha, Bryce, Blake, Preston, Elle and nephew Brock; and a host of friends.
Eric will be remembered during a Memorial Service on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 1:30 pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038
