Daniel died Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Daniel E. Armstrong, Sr. was born January 1, 1943 in Brunswick, Nebraska to Francis and Luella (Kettle) Armstrong. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1961. Daniel married Connie Kumm in Council Bluffs, Iowa on August 22, 1961. He lived in the Bellwood area his entire life where Daniel was an independent contractor building homes for 50 years. During his retirement, he worked with his son through A&A Builders for the past 10 years. He enjoyed gardening and raising the biggest watermelons, bird watching, spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids, and traveling to Florida to visit family. Daniel attended Highland Park Church for the past 25 years. Reading his Bible, studying and teaching the Gospel was one his favorite pastimes. He also loved to praise God with his guitar and harmonica. Daniels faith was an inspiration to his family and an encouragement to serve the Lord daily.
