Family visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2016. Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home in Collinsville, Illinois is in charge of those arrangements. Burial will follow in Forever Mt. Hope Cemetery in Belleville, Illinois.
Doris was born February 1, 1935 in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of Theodore William and Samantha Elizabeth Gregory Staiger.
She and James Leon Crummitt, Jr. were married in Edwardsville, Illinois on July 1, 1959. He preceded her in death on November 21, 2010. Doris and Willis M. Brock were married in Collinsville, Illinois on September 6, 2014. She and Willie met on the internet through Christian Mingle and had a wonderful whirlwind romance for three months, after which he went to Illinois and they got married. They were like two teenagers, very happy and in love with each other. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Willis M. Brock of Denison; sons, Chuck Murphy and his wife, Emma of Glen Carbon, IL, Terry Crummitt and his wife, Carla of Collinsville, IL and David Brock and his wife, Darla of Denison; daughters, Karen Hornacek and her husband, Joe of Caseyville, IL, Sherrie Fencl and Dean of Collinsville, IL and Donna Guthrie and her husband, Mike of Denison; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Crummit, Jr; daughter, Debbie Crummitt (April 29, 1973) and two brothers, Paul Staiger and William Staiger.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
