Kenneth Wayne Perry, 59, of Colington, NC died on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 surrounded by family at his home. A native of Dare County, he was the son of the late Rupert Parker Perry Sr. of Kitty Hawk and Ruby Sawyer Perry Scarborough of Wanchese. Known to most as Kenny or KP, he owned and operated a house painting business for over 30 years on the Outer Banks. Hunting was his passion for 40+ years and he had many trophy mounts beautifully displayed in his home to show it.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Tanya Hill and husband, Jason of Colington; two grandsons, Justin and James Hill; one great-grandson, Jaxon Hill; sisters, Tami Robinson of Nags Head, Kimberly Ward of Montvale, VA and Susan Perry of Manteo; and brothers, Michael Perry of Colington, Glenn Perry of Ocala, FL, Rupert Perry, Jr. of Palm Coast, FL and Scott Perry of Manteo; along with many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Hilltop Cemetery in Colington. Friends and family are invited to gather after the service at his daughter’s home located at 106 Creekside Lane off of Colington Road. In lieu of flowers, donations towards final expenses may be made in care of Tanya Hill at Southern Bank in Kill Devil Hills.
Twiford Funeral Home, Manteo is assisting the family with arrangements.
