Cpl. Bradford H. Payne of Montgomery, Alabama decided to join the Marines when he was in sixth grade, a choice partly influenced by his grandmother, who was a recruiter for the Marines during World War II. Brad leaves a wife of two years, who lives in North Carolina. He was just on the brink of beginning his own family. He was a NASCAR and Auburn fan who loved country music, hunting and fishing with his wife and father in law, and being a protective brother. As a Marine, he was awarded the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, Purple Heart, Distinguished Service Medal of Alabama and he was Coach of the Week and three time Expert Rifleman. Payne, his parents Howard and Carol Payne, sisters Sharon Barnes and husband Travis and Katherine Payne, nephew Garrett Barnes, grandparents William H.
