Donald C. Poe, age 87, of Blountville, TN, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, April 5, 2016.
A native and resident of Blountville, Mr. Poe retired from Tennessee Eastman Company after 40 years of service. Donald was a 32nd Degree Mason at Holston Lodge and a member of Wheelers United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Holston in 1946 where he played basketball and baseball. He was an avid UT Fan and enjoyed working outside in his garden.
Mr. Poe was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur & Una Poe; brother & sister-in-law, Richard E. Poe & Betty Sue Poe; and brother-in-law, George Keith.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 1:00pm - 3:00 pm at Wheeler’s United Methodist Church with funeral services to begin at 3:00 pm with Pastor Chris Brown officiating. Burial will follow in East Tennessee Cemetery.
