Mary A Smith died at her residence in Worth Township Monday at 7:10pm at the age of sixty-six years and one month. She had been ill nine weeks and myocarditis was the cause of death.
The deceased was born in Greene county Tennessee on June 8 1845 and her marriage to William R Smith in this county occurred March 15 1876. Mr Smith died April 29 1907.
The children surviving are Erastus Smith, Lucinda Elizabeth Smith, Mrs Minnie B Essex,, Mrs Jennie Ottinger, Robert E, Joseph and Ivy V Smith. One brother George W Rader of Rockville also survives. She was a member of the Lutheran church at Whitestown.
The funeral was held this morning at the residence at ten o'clock. Rev S.D. Myers officiated and interment was at the Lutheran Cemetery.
