Mr. Calvin H. Call, age 91, of North Wilkesboro, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. He was born July 14, 1924 in Wilkes County to Aaron and Bessie Anderson Call. He was an avid hunter and gardener. Mr. Call was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Thelma Craven Call; brothers; Everette, Rev. Andrew, Otha, Jay Conley and Harrison Call; sister, Ennis Call Hutchinson.

Surviving are his daughter, Janice Vandyke and husband Michael of Gastonia; son, Calvin E. Call and wife Cheryl of Michigan; two grandchildren, Jonathan Call of Michigan and Morgan Vandyke of Gastonia.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Miller Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marvin Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 1:00 until 2:00 on Saturday, prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
