Nancy Jo Best, 75, went to be with our Lord Saturday, April 2, 2016 with her family at her bedside. She was born January 4, 1941 to the late Leo and Audra DeWitt in Clarksburg WV. Mrs. Best was a long time resident of Shreveport where she raised her family, Her family was her life, she cared for her 7 children all the neighborhood children and her mentally challenged brother-in-law Jimmy till his death in 1990 , she was a friend to all.

Mrs. Best proceeded into heaven by her husband, Daniel Earl Best, her eldest son, Edward Best ll, sisters, Barbara McCreedy, Ethel Howell, brothers, Robert, Ronald and Thomas DeWitt.

She is survived by her daughters, Patty Remedies and husband Richard, Ann Marie Best, sons, Thomas Best, Terry Best and wife Linda, Jerry Best, Joe Best and wife Kelly and daughter-in-law, Kathy Best, sisters, Betty Sexton, Mary DeWitt, Debbie Wissig, Shirley Burkette and Martha Harris, brothers, Charles, George and Richard DeWitt. Mrs. Best had 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and loved them all.

Special thanks to her 13 yr old granddaughter Kaitlyn was as memaw called her "Her Little Nurse" Thanks for the great care you gave your memaw.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Rose-Neath, 1815 Marshall St. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Cemetery, Swan Lake Rd. Meet at Rose-Neath Marshall St. at 2:00 p.m. if you would like to be in the procession.
