Harold W. "Harry" Wheeler died 2:40 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 1987, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. He was 84, a native of Winthrop, Mass., and resident of Zachary. He was a retired Ethyl Corp. chemical engineer, with more than 38 years service.
Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home, Zachary, after 9 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by Dr. Wayne Barnes. Burial in Azalea Rest Cemetery.
Survived by wife, Fairy Fuller Wheeler; two daughters, Nancy W. Messer, Zachary, and Sally Babin, Lake Charles; two sons, William "Bill" P. Wheeler, Zachary, and Harold Skipp Wheeler, Murray, Utah; a brother, Charles Wheeler, Worcester, Mass.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by two grandchildren, Roger and Margaret Messer.
He was a Mason, a shriner, and a former member of North Baton Rouge Lions Club.
