(December 23, 1926 - March 17, 2016

C. J. Eubanks, 89, of Petal, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the G. V. Montgomery V. A. Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 2 p.m. until service time of 3 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal, followed by burial in Sunrise Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Eubanks was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church, and a member of the Free Masons. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carole Eubanks; his parents, O.J. and Mary Eubanks; two brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mary Ruth Eubanks of Petal; two sons, Carl D. (Donna Helton) Eubanks of Guyton, GA., and Glen Harold (Debbie) Eubanks of Petal; one daughter, Angela (Howard Layne) Temple of Calhoun, GA.; four grandchildren, Jeremy C. Eubanks, Caleb D. Eubanks, Jessica Skinner, and Christopher Temple; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Jay L. Eubanks of Washington; and four sisters, Mary Sue Gatlin of Petal, Vivian Stalarski of Hattiesburg, Rita Stebbins of Arkansas, and Kathleen Steed of Hattiesburg.
