Helen Marie (Harkins) Hatton was born May 5th, 1928 in Talihina, OK, the daughter of Pancy and Ancy Harkins. She was raised in the Talihina area and attended Clayton Public Schools.

Helen worked as the Purchasing Agent at the Talihina Hospital for years.

She was later blessed with five cherished children, and as a single mother, raised Mary, Evelyn, Brenda, Beverly and Michael by herself, demonstrating love, loyalty and integrity to each in turn. She loved being a mother and grandmother, caring for others.

She made the best salt meat and biscuits around, along with her fried chicken, and her chicken and dumplings.

Helen was never one to sit idly by, and constantly sewing, quilting, or working in her flower or vegetable gardens.

She loved life! She was thoughtful and considerate; people were always treated with kindness and respect.

Helen was a devout Christian, she regularly attended Prairie Grove Baptist and other churches, playing the piano, and teaching Sunday School to the young, bringing the love of God to the youngest members of the church.

Her grandchildren were the most wonderful people in the whole world for her. She adored them and everything they did. The Lord called this good and faithful servant home from her labors on April 4th, 2016 in Tulsa, OK. She was blessed with 87 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Mary Louise Harkins, one brother, Toby Frazier, and one sister, Doris Pettijohn.
