Royce Ann “Suzie” Crump Johnson was born November 18, 1946 in Abilene, Texas. She was the youngest of three children born to the marriage of Roy Henry and Vergie Mary Swann Crump. She was raised and schooled in Garrison, Texas and was raised in the Baptist faith. Suzie spent her years as a caregiver to the elderly and serving veterans as the First Vice President of the American Legion Auxiliary. She is preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Kerwin Lee Mims.
