Mr. Bowman was the son of the late Dennis Monroe Bowman and the late Gertrude Ophelia Brown Bowman. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Melvie Ruth Knott and Evelyn Justice, and by three brothers, Harold, Donald and Harvey Bowman. Mr. Bowman was a 1952 graduate of Pepperell High School and also graduated from the Caroll Lynn Business School and Coosa Valley Technical College. He was an Eagle Scout and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Park Avenue Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, Mr. Bowman worked as an electrician at Lindale Manufacturing and Georgia Kraft.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016, at 12noon in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens with the American Legion Post #5 Honor Guard presenting military honors.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Friday from 11 am until the service time.
