Michael E. Fay, 73, of Lisbon, passed away Tuesday evening at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown.
Michael was born October 19, 1942 in Rochester, NY, the son of the late Edwin L. and Helen Adele (Metz) Fay.
A 1960 graduate of Canton Central Catholic High School and a 1965 graduate of Kent State University, he had a career in public relations for Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. and Smithers Scientific Services. He retired in 2011.
Michael was a member of the Public Relations Society of America and enjoyed photography, writing, and swimming. He also co-owned Colleen’s Place in Lisbon.
Survivors include his wife Colleen D. (Louden) Fay, his children Kristin (Sam) Elson of Centreville, VA, and Michael P. (Missy) Fay of Haymarket, VA, as well as his siblings Nancy Fay of Miamisburg, OH, Terry Fay of Phoenix, AZ and Thomas (Lorraine) Fay of The Villages, FL. There are four grandchildren: Taylor Fay and Jacob, Kelly, and Caroline Elson.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday at Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Wassie officiating. Calling hours are one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Lisbon Cemetery.
