Mary Ann Cherry Reed, age 91 of Dyer, Tennessee, went to Jesus on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Graveside services for Mary Ann will be Friday, April 9, 2021, at Mt. Olive Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Lee E. Pettis officiating.
She was born December 2, 1929 in St. Louis, MO; the daughter of the late James D. & Ruth Hearn Overall. She was co-owner of Cherry's T.V. Service, along as being a music teacher. She was a pianist & organist for First Methodist Church in Dyer for 31 years; with Karnes & Son Funeral Home for 25 years; also, she volunteered for Dyer Nursing Home for 16 years. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Dyer and enjoyed sewing & cross stitching.
She is survived by two children, Charles Wayne Cherry Jr. (Amy) of Spring Hill, TN, Pamela C. Pettis (Lee) of East Dublin, GA; five grandchildren, Lesley, James, Dave, Ashley, Whitney; and ten great grandchildren- all who called her "mommomma". She was preceded in death by husband, Robert Samuel Reed; first husband, Charles Wayne Cherry Sr.; daughter, Ruth Ann Cherry; and brother, George Overall.
