Bernardino was born on December 29, 1932 in Tuscon, AZ to Bernardino Nuñez and Benita Canez Nuñez.
Bernadino served in the United States Army from February 1953 until January 1955 where he served in the Korean Conflict.
Bernardino worked as an auto body painter for 25 years for Rocky Mountain Body Shop. Bernardino enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Bernardino was preceded in death by his parents, Bernardino and Benita Nunez, sisters, Carmen Espriu, Benita Marinez, Dora Benavídez and Ramon and son-in-law, Steve Váldez.
Bernardino is survived by his daughters, Lori Faqerzai and her partner, Sean of Arizona City, AZ, Cathy Nuñez and Stephanie Brady of Las Vegas, NM, brother, Frank Nuñez and his wife, Gloria of Tucson, AZ, sisters, Natalia Nuñez of Tucson, AZ and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Rosary services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Las Vegas, NM. Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Las Vegas, NM, with Father George V. Salazar as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Camposanto de Jesús María y José in Montezuma, NM. Serving as Casket Bearers will be Adrian Váldez, Phillip Váldez, Roger Váldez, Tino Ramírez, Javis Sánchez and Jesse Benavídez. Serving as Honorary bearers will be Marcus Faqerzai, Jeremy Smyers, Joshua Váldez, Ayden Váldez, Julius Sánchez, Shane Arguello, Leroy Vádez and Johnny Arguello.
