Raymond John Warren, born September 8, 1929 in Philadelphia, Pa. to the late Leta and Leon Warren, passed on Saturday, April 2, 2016.

He was predeceased by his wife, Betty McKee Warren; his son, John L. Warren; as well as his brother, William Warren of Houston, Tex.

He is survived by his daughter, Cathy Warren Dueweke and her husband, Michael; granddaughter, Lauren; and great-granddaughter, Lily, all of Barboursville, Va. He is also survived by his cousin, Alan Rogers of New Bern, N.C.Mr. Warren attended Kemper Military School and Shepherd College.

He moved to Hagerstown, Md. where he met his wife, who he referred to as the love of his life. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He started working at Noland Co. in 1952 at the Hagerstown branch and was transferred to the Charlottesville branch in 1952 until his retirement in 1992.His favorite times were golf and fishing trips with his friends and members of the Senior Center Golf Group and watching his granddaughter at horse shows.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 3 p.m. in Holly Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, he would want donations sent to any SPCA of your choice or to Hospice of the Piedmont for the loving care they gave him.
