Son of Robert Hutro Navarre, famed scout of the war of 1812 who with his brother Peter built a cabin in 1807 at the mouth of the Maumee thereby credited as the settlers of East Toledo. Robert R. Navarre married a cousin Maria Archangele Navarre, the daughter of Robert T. and Catherine (Gaillard) Navarre. In later years Peter Navarre lived with Robert R. and Maria. N41:39:16 W83:36:08
