Our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Frances Flores-Gallegos, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM.
Frances was born on May 11, 1918 in Villanueva, NM, where she spent most of her childhood years.
Frances, her parents and her younger siblings eventually moved from Villanueva to Pueblo, Colorado. Frances lived in Pueblo most of her young adult life, where she worked and helped raise her younger siblings. Her marriage to Fortunato Gallegos, a war veteran retuning home after the end of the Second World War, would take her back to Villanueva.
Frances was very much loved by all who knew her. Her humility was what made her so special. Frances was greatly admired for her kindness, generosity and caring personality. Her home was always open to relatives and friends. Frances always made time to prepare humble, yet very delicious meals for visiting guests.
Frances was a dedicated member of the Sacred Heart Society and an active parishioner at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Villanueva. Frances participated in the numerous activities sponsored by the parish. Frances was very faithful to her family, her church and her Savior Jesus Christ. Frances will dearly be missed.
Frances is survived by her three sons, Richard Eugene and Anthony Gerard "Gary", whom reside in Albuquerque and Charles Edwin Gallegos whom resides in Las Cruces, NM, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at French - Westside. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Villanueva, NM. A Reception will be held at the community Parish Hall upon completion of the funeral services.
