She attended the public school system. In her earlier years she worked at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa., in the housekeeping department. Sharon enjoyed shopping, more so through the Finger Hut catalog. Her favorite past time was listening to Oldies but Goodie Music and watching old western movies. She enjoyed taking long walks and spending time with family. She absolutely loved playing the card game Pitty-pat with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her spouse, James Watts, her children; Beth Gunn-Hightower of Easton, Pa., Charles Byrd of Allentown, Pa., Tina Byrd-Bynum of Newark, NJ., Stephanie Mathis of Bethlehem, Pa., Jeremiah Watts of Newark, NJ., Torey Watts of Newark, NJ., and Raymond Watts of Union, NJ. She is also survived by siblings, James Gunn, of Bethlehem, Pa., Patricia Hunter, of Easton, Pa., Daisy Hunter, of Palmer Twp., Pa., Garfield Smith, of Bethlehem, Pa. and Deirdre "Dee" Teague, of Bethlehem, Pa., as well as 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A Service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11AM at St. Paul's Baptist Church, 925 E. Goepp St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18017. A calling hour will be held on Friday from 10 to 11 AM at the church. Interment will follow at Nisky Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem, Pa. The Finegan Funeral Home, Palmer Twp., Pa. is handling her arrangements.
