Mr. Wehrle, a retired supervisor, worked for Westinghouse Electric Corp. for more than 40 years. He was a native of East Pittsburgh, Pa., and a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. He was the widower of Gertrude Wehrle.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Joseph Polasko of Virginia Beach; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Donna Wehrle of Hot Springs, Ark.; five granddaughters, Vicki Ermalinski and her husband, John, of Chesapeake, Lori Hedrick and her husband, Robert, of Virginia Beach, Wendi Prince and her husband, Art, of Chesapeake, Danielle Wehrle of Florida, Brenda Wehrle of Atlanta; two grandsons, Phillip Wehrle of New Orleans, La., Thomas Wehrle and his wife, Becky, of Asheville, N.C.; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday by Father James Noto at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, today from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
