B[ert] D[aniel] Wright died Friday morning [04 Jan 1929] of congestion of the stomach at his home on the E. A. Murray farm, northwest of Fletcher at age 53 years. He was sick only about 24 hours. The body was buried [on] Saturday [05 Jan 1929] in the Fletcher Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife and nine children: Allen Duncan [Wright], Dora Fay [Wright], Birtie Kendyton [Wright], Sherman [Wright], Della [Wright], Juel Ray [Wright], General [Wright], Freddie [Wright], and Mildred [Wright], all at home with their mother; also, one step-daughter, Mrs. Cecil Murphy. His first wife is deceased.

He was a member of the Holiness Church.
