Kevin began working at Villard Implement Company in Villard as a mechanic after his brother returned from the service. He was employed there for 35 years until his passing.
Kevin had a great love for the outdoors, animals and nature. In his younger years, he enjoyed trapping, fishing and riding snowmobile. However, gardening was his one true passion. He was known far and wide for his "gigantic" sized vegetables that were always available in numerous quantities
free of charge. After a long day in the garden, a bon fire was considered the most appropriate way to enjoy the evening.
In his spare time away from the garden, mostly in winter months, Kevin enjoyed reading Louis Lamoure books, watching Western videos, coin collecting, playing in a pool league, listening to old time records, hunting, and brushing up on his World Wars facts. He was quite a history buff. He was also known for his wide collection of tools that were handy to repair any mechanical problem one may have been having.
After reaching the age of 58, Kevin was called from this life on November 1, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father.
Kevin is survived by his mother Joyce Jacobs of Villard, MN; three daughters, Jennifer and Marc Exner of Cape Cod, MA, Krista and Jonathan Schaeffer of Viborg, SD, Cassandra Jacobs of Villard, MN; brother Robert and Kathy Jacobs of Villard, MN; sisters Paula and Thomas Hinke of Marshfield, WI, Kimberly and Marlow Hubin of Westbrook, MN; several nieces and nephews and his very special friend Sandy Reger.
