She was a graduate of Decker High School and during WW II she worked as a riveter at the Republic Airplane Factory in Evansville building the P-47 Thunderbolt. She married Marion “Barney” Fields and they made their life together until his death on May 20, 1994. She worked for the Vincennes School Corp at Franklin School as a cook and was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the American Legion, Eagles and Moose Auxiliaries. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Funeral services will be celebrated Friday April 8, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Good Samaritan Hospice.
