Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS, on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue at Franklin Funeral Home on Thursday, April 7, 2016, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. The graveside service will follow in Womack-Murray Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Bro. Trent Moak and Bro. Lance Moak will officiate the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Clyde Junior was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He served his country in the US Navy. He was a retired diesel mechanic in the oil field. He worked for many years as a private logger, loved to grow vegetables in his garden, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great, great grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde E. and Louise Eames Murray; his wife of 56 years, Edna Boyd Murray; daughter, Shirley Brister Ford; son, Larry Brister; daughter-in-law, Eva Nell Brister; great grandson, Brady Ford; brother, Douglas Murray.
Survivors are his sons, Neal Douglas Murray and fiancé Shari Crosby of Meadville, MS, and Olen Brister and wife Donna of Green River, WY; Carole Richardson and husband Glen of Smithdale, MS, Brenda Murray of Meadville, MS, and Terry Carter and husband Wayne of Meadville, MS; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great, great grandchildren; one great grandchild on the way; and a host of family and friends.
