BLUE EARTH - Milton George King, 80, of Blue Earth, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth, with military honors.

Milt was born Sept. 26, 1935, with a twin sister, to George and Aletha (Henderson) King in Hollandale, Minn. He was the youngest of nine. He grew up in Albert Lea, came to Blue Earth for work, and on Aug. 17, 1957,

Milt married Shirley J. LaMont, and together raised their four children. In 1958, Milt was drafted into the U.S. Army and spent over 13 months in Korea. Milt was an auto body repair man in Blue Earth for over 50 years, and was the proud owner of Milt's Body Shop.

He enjoyed being at the cabin, fishing and deer hunting with his family. Milt had a love for his black labs and valued each moment with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Milt will be remembered for his stubbornness and great stories.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley; children, Sherry Stevermer, Joleen (Jeff) Nowak, Sandy (Dennis) Oswald, Bucky (Melissa) King; grandchildren, Erica, Merissa (Jon), Erin (Rob), Trent, Whitney (Ryan), Taryn, Brett and Jaron; great-grandchildren, Cyla, Jack, Elly, Garedon, Letty, Kynlee and Lakyn; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Milton was preceded in death by his parents; seven sisters; and one brother.
