She was preceded in death by her parents Albert Dewey & Johnnie Estella Woodall; brothers Wendell (Christine), Charles (Patsy), and John (Susie) Woodall; sisters Helen Gipson (Carl) and Seleta Woodall. Mary Ellen is survived by her husband Wendell G. She is also survived by brother Larry Woodall (Faye) and sisters Mildred Patterson (Wayne) and Margarett Holder (Terry).
Mary worked periodically in the electronics industry, however, her real joy and role in life was as loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She excelled in homemaking. There was nothing she couldn’t do. She was a fabulous cook, seamstress, quilter, gardener, etc. We were all fortunate to call her wife, mother, grandma, and friend. She leaves us with heavy hearts and a great void in our lives. She will be in our hearts always.
Visitation with the family will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with burial at Mt. Garner Cemetery in Decherd.
